Don’t Change Yer Hair I Says

A while back this year, sometime in either April or May, I had been talking to this charming, young lass, who lives in England. I had become acquainted with her through a pen-pal program, and was delighted to find she had a brain between her ears, such that conversation with her was almost good as she (I later discovered) looks.

Whilst discussing various topics with her, I’ve come onto a different way of arguing my points. It’s probably not new, but here’s a tame subject to demonstrate a little bit of what I mean.

It’s hard for me to articulate how I argued here, so I’ll leave it by itself, with you to judge how things went and why.

  1. You worded this very well. It is true that many people that are close to you are competing for the same resources. They might not mean to “cut your throat” but they will only operate to the point that it benefits themselves. (Yep, never putting others above them. Not even Ghandi!)

  2. I would say it’s more of a discussion, but seeing from what you wrote this chick from England seems amazing!!!
I can’t wait to read more of your discussions with her πŸ˜‰β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜œ

  3. It is a reasonable explanation, but I don’t see why you even bother giving it. I’d probably go with ‘eww blue hair’ and ‘well, just my 2 cents’. Maybe with a slightly humorous undertone.

I like explaining my complicated ideas to other men, because I feel they can truly follow and be fascinated by those ideas. Girls, on the other hand, well they may say I’m smart and shit to appeal to my ego, but I don’t think they really care that much.

    Just my 2 cents. πŸ™‚

    • It’s an intro to a way of discussion that I think looked better in my head than it did on paper.

The subject matter tends to render much of the point moot, as it is not really controversial, which is what the “argument style” is suited for.
